Why the Stage 2 Business Accelerator is different and better
Financial and strategic support make the Stage2 Business Accelerator different from and better than incubators and many investor organizations for second-stage companies bringing products to market. Like an incubator, we provide physical space and an office infrastructure, giving our members a place to call home. Like an incubator but unlike many investor organizations, we have a formal mentoring structure to promote success. Our individually defined "36-Month Business Roadmap to Success" program is a tailored guide with mileposts and goals for each member. We also have an Advisory Board through a partnership with leading executive organizations in Georgia to provide members with consultative support to successfully expand their organizations.
We also believe that by integrating stronger businesses into a community's infrastructure, our member companies provide jobs while increasing contributions to the local economy. This enhances our local "Live, Work, Play" environment.
Research by the National Business Incubator Association (www.nbia.org) shows that only one out of five companies (20%) that do not go through an acceleration program are still active in five years. Companies that complete an acceleration program have a success rate 80% after five years.
